WHAT TO SEE

Barcelona Symphonic Orchestra at the L’Auditori – classical music at its best

Yesterday I went to see a concert of the Orquestra Simfònica de Barcelona i Nacional de Catalunya (l’OBC) at the Auditori concert hall. These are the moments where my Austrian roots are calling me … and where I get to feel a little homesick, but just a little!

The first part of the concert was Stravinsky’s “Pulcinella” and the second part they played Wolfgang Amadeus’ “Symphony nr. 40”. Virtuoso!

In case you happen to be in Barcelona for the 20th of September 2015, I do recommend you to buy tickets for the Season Opening Concert of the OBC in the Sagrada Familia. Imagine what an experience! You can  purchase tickets here: http://www.obc.cat/en/entrades/individuals/

Location of the L’Auditori:

Tram: Line T4 (Auditori/ Teatre Nacional)
Metro: Marina (Red Line nr. 1); Monumental (Purple Line nr. 2)
Bus nr. 6, 7, 10, 56, 62
